Application

The number of participants is strictly limited to 30 students or post-docs. Participants will be primarily selected on the basis of the suitability of the course for developing the project of the participants and their lab towards Systems Biology using yeasts. A maximum of two students per research group or laboratory may be accepted. We strive for a 50/50 mix of participants with experimental and theoretical background.

It is expected that participants take part in all course activities. Registration for only parts of the course is not possible. However, the lecture and seminar programme of the course will be offered to students from Göteborg as a course within their post-graduate education. Those students will register for the course via a different channel – do not apply via this page.

After the application deadline, participants will be selected based on their submitted documentation. This shall include:

• Name, full address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address.
• A max three page complete curriculum vitae, incl. publications.
• A max ½ page justification for participating in the course with reference to the research performed in the host laboratory.
• A max one page justification for participation with reference to the own project and the own career development.
• An max one page abstract for the seminar to be presented during the course.
• Two letters of recommendation, where one letter should be provided from a person outside of the applicants laboratory (these are to be sent by mail to the course organising office arriving no later than February 28, 2010.
