Participation details
Selection Procedure
The number of participants is strictly limited to 30 students or post-docs. Participants will be primarily selected on the basis of their submitted application material, where motivation, recommendation and abstract all are important. A maximum of two students per research group or laboratory may be accepted. We strive for a 50/50 mix of participants with experimental and theoretical background.
It is expected that participants take part in all course activities. Registration for only parts of the course is not possible. The lecture and seminar programme of the course will be offered to students from Göteborg as a course within their post-graduate education.
Registration Fee
The registration fee is 16 000 SEK. The registration fee includes the course fee, accomodation in student hostels as well as all meals and social events. The registration fee excludes travelling. Do not effect any payments before your participation has been confirmed by the organisers and you have received an invoice.
FEBS YTF
FEBS offers grants for participation (YTF: Youth Travel Grants) for twelve students from FEBS countries and for two students from Africa according to the conditions given below.
1. Applicants should
a) be registered as a student at an institution of higher learning in an country where there is a FEBS Constituent Society, or be within five years of having completed a PhD thesis;
b) be a member of a FEBS Constituent Society (for African applicants, be a member of a FASBMB Constituent Society);
c) not have received a grant from the Youth Travel Fund to attend an Advanced Course in the current year (i.e. 2010).
2. Awards will only be made to persons travelling from their current country of residence to the venue of the course.
3. The amount of the award shall be related to the distance from the applicant's place of work to the venue of the Course.
