Personal text

It has been a nice experience working in the systems biology group at an exciting subject as the cell death. The aim of my project is try to understand the process of ageing and programmed cell death using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism for study.  The understanding and manipulation of these processes in S. cerevisiae might contribute to elucidate the mechanisms involved in certain human diseases.

I am very happy to work in an internationally recognized laboratory gaining knowledge in the field of systems biology and meeting people from around the world.
