Personal text

I am Mexican and I began my education in my home town of Guadalajara. There, I studied both bachelor and master programs. This is my first time in Europe, and I am adapting now to Sweden´s weather and society, I find this country very nice!
Now, I am beginning this PhD studies program in Chalmers University. I feel fortunate of being part of the Systems Biology group with the scientific direction of Professor Jens Nielsen. I am very happy that I can work in this area of science that I like the most and with this friendly environment between labmates and colleagues.

I will be working with Genetic and Metabolic Engineering of yeasts to improve the production of certain compounds of interest.
