  Luis Caspeta was given the Poster Award at the COBRA conference held in Iceland late June. The poster presented work by several group members on reconstruction of novel genome-scale metabolic models for two Pichia species.

  PhD student Jie Zhang has received the prestigious "2010 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Chinese Students Study Abroad". The award is given by the China Scholarship Council to PhD students that have performed outstanding.

  The Systems and Synthetic Biology Group at Chalmers will be a key participant in the Novo Nordisk Foundation Centre for Biosustainability. The centre will be granted 700 million DKK from the foundation and will be established at DTU with satellites at Chalmers and KTH.
