The poster presented work by several group members on reconstruction of novel genome-scale metabolic models for two Pichia species.           Yun Chen was given an outstanding award for Young Scientist and Student for his poster presented at the Asian Congress on Biotechnology held in Shanghai, China           Jens Nielsen is 2011 Amgen Biochemical Engineering Award Winner           PhD student Jie Zhang has received the prestigious "2010 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Chinese Students Study Abroad". The award is given by the China Scholarship Council to PhD students that have performed outstanding.           A key paper from the Yeast Systems Biology Network (coordinated by Jens Nielsen) is published in Nature Communications           The Systems and Synthetic Biology Group at Chalmers will be a key participant in the Novo Nordisk Foundation Centre for Biosustainability.
